Meet Your Counsellor
The heart behind the wiggly hands co.
Lim Shan Shan
Founder, Registered Counsellor, Certified Crisis Responder & Facilitator For the Circle of Security Parenting Framework
Hello! I am a full-time working mother in Singapore who grew up in a bustling family. Like many families in this city, ours experienced its share of emotional highs and lows while navigating everyday realities - caring for ageing family members and keeping up with the rising cost of living. For many of us in the so called sandwich generation, family life can feel both meaningful and overwhelming at the same time.
Over the years, my work has brought me into different spaces supporting individuals across various stages of life. I have worked within the school system, supporting children as they navigate academic pressures and social challenges. I have also held space for adults who have experienced sexual assault, harassment, and workplace challenges, as well as individuals and families managing the many stressors that life can bring.
I recognize that every person’s journey is different, and the emotional weight we carry can feel heavy at times. Often, what helps most is simply having a space where you can slow down, be heard, and show up as you are.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, exploring good food, shopping, and travelling.

The name "The Wiggly Hands Co." was inspired by my first-born's curious nature and constant exploration of the world - a reminder that expression often begins before words.
